Enjoy this glove featuring MLB player Melky Cabrera of the New York Yankees. A great collector's piece for all New York Yankees fans! Melky Cabrera was recalled by the New York Yankees from the Bombers' Triple-A affiliate Columbus in May, 2006, to replace an injured Hideki Matsui in left field. On June 6, 2006, Cabrera garnered nationwide attention by deftly stealing a home run from Manny Ramirez in the eighth inning of a Yankees-Red Sox game at Yankee Stadium, when he reached over the left center field wall to retrieve a sharp line drive. The potential home run would have tied the ball game at 2-2; the Yankees ultimately won the game a 2-1 margin. Cabrera looks likely to be a big part of the Bombers' future. Melky Cabrera has hand signed this 2006 game-used batting glove. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
